World Gone Wrong

Modified from Bob Dylan’s cover of “World Gone Wrong”. It is from the self-titled World Gone Wrong album released in ’93. The previous album “Good as I've Been to You” and “World Gone Wrong” were the albums that I first learned about Bob Dylan. Both of these two albums are covers of Folk and Blues standards. I have been playing some of these songs for many years but when I heard Bob Dylan's take on these songs, I was hooked.

Hope you enjoy this version of World Gone Wrong in a little more modern Setting.

Strange things have happened, like never before.

Market up one day, next day it's down.

It ain't good no more, it not what it was before.

It doesn’t feel good, my friends.

Just feel like the world has gone wrong.

More tariffs this morning, by evening they're gone.

Can't help but worry, “the Markets gone wrong.”

Listen to the news at night, gives you such a fright.

It doesn't feel good my friends.

“Just feels like the world has gone wrong.”

Markets, move like a mob, Just like a flock.

See the shadow on the ground, I must be a hawk.

Hear our fearful call, Run till we hit a wall.

Soon we hear the “all clear”.

Time to eat, no danger - just fear.

Let me tell you my friends, it's the same old song.

The markets run one way, but it won’t be long.

Someone sees a shiny thing, it time to flap our wings.

Sometimes a hawk, sometimes a cloud.

It only takes is one bird to move the crowd.

Today it's tariffs, tomorrow it's war.

Next day it's tax cuts & the markets might soar.

Soon you'll forget this song when there is no uproar.

It'll be just like before.

But now it feels like the world's gone wrong.
